Background

Well, hello! I'm Arthur and I've been involved in the education industry for the past 10 years. I was an MOE school teacher and taught English, History and Social Studies at various secondary schools before moving into the private education sector, where I focused on English language teaching, curriculum design and teacher-training.

A great teacher doesn't just 'teach'. He must be able to analyse the learning needs and performance gaps of his students, be well-versed in curriculum design and incorporate a range of student-centred learning strategies into his lesson design to meet these diverse learning needs. Hence, I take a candid approach when working with my students - I help them gain awareness of their strengths and weaknesses, customise my curriculum to address their performance gaps, while maintaining the alignment with current MOE syllabus. In addition, I impart studying and examination skills to help them navigate the complexity of school and national examinations.

I don't teach every other subject because I'm a specialist in English language learning and would prefer to focus solely on this. I work closely with parents, providing regular written or oral reports of their children's progress and performance.

I look forward to discussing with you how I could help your child achieve success.
