Ms Christine Leow, a Science, IB Group 4 Tutor

Background

I have been a home tutor for 6 years and have helped more than 20 students achieve excellent grades for O Levels, A Levels, IGCSE, or IB. I currently specialise in A Level or IB Physics. Having set examination papers in the past, I understand what an examiner looks for in answers and hence teach appropriate problem solving techniques to students. I walk students through the mind of an examiner to distinguish B-grade answers from A-grade ones, as much of the difference lies in keywords and clear communication.

I provide my own condensed notes and practices for all chapters that focus on reinforcing concepts. This includes common pitfalls and misconceptions that separate B students from A students.

I mainly conduct small group tuition classes of no more than 5 students as I have received great feedback from past students that learning is more efficient when they get to learn from each other’s mistakes. Concepts are strengthened and so does confidence in answering questions. I am open to private lessons as well, so do contact me for availability and fees.

Physics may seem intimidating with its formulas and black-and-white 2D diagrams, so I frequently supplement the class with discussions about real life applications for more interesting lessons.
